5TH AKWAABA TRAVEL MARKET!

October?.................How can I forget so quickly one of my most memorable month in 2009.

I had a swell time during the 24th to 26th of October.......for those who didn't know it was the 5th Akwaaba Travel Market.

During these remarkable days Remlords Car Hire Comany was so efficient in taking I and My guest to everywhere we 'Dreamt of' in Lagos, Nigeria

I and my Brother including our friends, also had a wonderful reception at Southern Sun(Ikoyi Hotel). Southern Sun gave us a 'Spicy' four day relaxation; each day was a special one as it had events that would stay in the memories of my Brother and I.

It was evident that my Best friend had so much fun as she 'threw' her mobile phone into the swimming pool and had to dive into the pool with her clothes in an attempt to save her phone, I will leave you to imagine what happened to her phone after the rescue............hmmm!

Akwaaba Travel Market which is the only International Travel Market in West Africa, gave me the opportunity to meet with different people from different countries, as 15 countries including Nigeria was present.

I met Alex Ekwueme, the former Vice-President of Nigeria and Governor Liyel Imoke who is the Governor of Cross River State in Nigeria; I also enjoyed a ride and exchanged thoughts with the Ex-President of Gambia, Sir Dawda Jawara............Nice!

Akwaaba Travel Market was a 'Five Star' event that put smiles on everyone and gave people opportunities to visit places as free tickets and holiday packages to Dubai, Gambia and South Africa, were given out during the raffle draw on the last day.

I know you are wishing you hung out with me.................Don't feel bad, you can catch up next year as Akwaaba Travel Market 'rocks' every year.

December was another month that had so much goodies in 2009............. December has always been an interesting month for me, apart from the Christmas celebration, December is the most profitable season for the entertainment industry in Nigeria, as a Model I benefit greatly......lol, and just incase you didn't know my 'Space Ship' hit planet earth on the 16th of December, Yeah!

Christmas in Lagos was Ushered in at the Ovation Red Carol organized by Dele Momodu, Publisher of Ovation International Magazine, Sponsored by United Bank of Africa(UBA). It was a night of fun and giving hope to the less privileged in the society. The event which held at the Expo Centre Victoria Island, Lagos saw Artistes from Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana.

Lil H, MI, Ruggedman and Bouqiu's rap rendition of the Christmas carol enjoyed a standing ovation by the audience. There was no dull moment as beautiful models which included my humble self strutted the runway with latest designs from Nigerian and Cameroonian designers.

Ace Comedian, AY kept the crowd roaring in laughter with his theatrics and refreshing jokes, while the climax of these well put together event was the superlative performance of Femi Kuti, Nigerian Born Grammy Award Nominee and son to late music legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. It was a night of 'Wining and Dining' and I enjoyed evry bit of it.
